Ernakulam: The Special Nia Court in Kerala Ernakulam has punished someone for a strict six years in prison and enforced a fine of Rs 1.60,000 on him in the case of the burning of the Kalamassery bus, an official said on Tuesday.
K a Anoop Ernakulam, who has escaped from the country after committing a crime in 2005, was arrested in April 2016, said the Premier Investigation Agency official.
This case was originally registered in September 2005 at the Kalamassery Police Station in Ernakulam for piracy and set the Tamil Nadu agreement blocks between Ernakulum and Salem by T Nazeer and others in supporting their requests for the release of Abdul Naeser Madani, Chair of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Delivered in Coimbatore Prison at that time, said Nia official.
Nia registered this case in 2010 and submitted a sheet of accusations against 13 accused, including Anoop, under the IPC section, the PDPP Law and UA (P).
The Special Court of Nia in Ernakulam on Monday sentenced Anoop to various prison requirements that would go together.
He was jailed for six years and fined Rs 1,60,000 in this case, the official said, added that the trial of the remaining defendants was underway.
