Kerala: PG Medicos for Boycott Emergency Services from Wednesday

T’puram: PG Medical Students have decided to boycott all emergency services from Wednesday because the government has not responded to the six-day strikes carried out by them without affecting patient care in all medical college hospitals.
Doctors in all countries have peacefully protested almost a week with the delay in Neet PG counseling and lack of junior residents in various hospitals in the state.
However, there has been no positive response to concrete actions from the State Health Department, said Dr.
Ashul Ashok, Post-Postgraduate Postgraduate Association of Kerala (KMPGA).
“We have no choice but to boycott all emergency services from Wednesday, not including Covid posts.
We want to emphasize and repeat that we don’t want patients to suffer.
Instead, we want more doctors to be employed for better patient care,” said Dr.
Naveen R, Secretary of State KMPGA.
The associated leaders said that resident doctors from all the government’s medical college hospitals had been burdened, and at this time there were only two batches that replaced the usual three.
With a threat that looms from the third covid wave, they are worried and really want a health care system to be well prepared with adequate labor in the hospital.
“We have proposed plans to temporarily recruit non-academic junior residents to share our duties so that we can concentrate on our academic work too.
We have discussed problems with the Minister of Health on August 8.
The decision made the day still in the letter -kurat, “said Dr.
Naveen.
