Thiruvananthapuram: The state government has provided a principle nod to the officials concerned to prepare a plan for the reopening of schools in the state.
The final decision on the reopening of the school will be based on the Supreme Court’s verdict on a plus one examination, the Minister of Public Education V Sivankutty said on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the state government has submitted a written statement in the Supreme Court, asking permission to conduct additional checks in conventional mode, offline.
The government shows unavailability of computers and internet facilities for all students as the main reason for dropping an online inspection idea for one student.
The state also rejects the possibility of evaluating students based on the sign they get in the model test.
The APEX court has been on September 4, still the government’s decision to conduct an additional examination in conventional mode, despite a steep increase in the number of Covid cases and amid concerns for student safety.
The court has slammed the state government because it does not consider the safety of students on the thickening of the pandemic crisis.
Examination will begin on September 6 and finally until September 27.
More than three lakh students should attend one test.
Because the results of the examination plus one did not have the simplicity of academics for two-year courses, the government had invited extensive criticism from students, parents and the part of the teacher to insist on offline examinations, risking the health of children who were not vaccinated.
