Thiruvananthapuram: Health Minister Veena George said that the state government was not hiding in reporting Covid’s death and claiming that it would provide all support for those who deserve to get compensation from the center.
The Minister expelled the accusations made by the opposition that Covid’s death data in the country fudged.
However, he added that the government was ready to recall data if there were certain complaints.
Meanwhile, opposition leader V D Satheesan said that they would expose data on Covid death which was not included in official figures if the government did not want to recall data.
“There is no government decision to come by getting benefits for people affected by Covid-19,” said Minister of Health Veena George.
“Until now, Covid’s death has been decided based on ICMR and who is recommended.
If the center revised the policy declaring death, the state government will adhere to the decision.” The minister added that a new transparent and decentralized online system had been carried out to report death.
When a covid patient dies, the doctor concerned or the hospital supervisor must report this problem within 24 hours and real-time entries are made at the district level itself, the minister claims.
George claims that in Kerala 100 percent of birth and death are reported.
“It’s not the state to decide at the time of death categorized as because of Covid or not,” he said.
The opposition has accused that the government did not consider death due to Covid complications at official victims.
The opposition also raised this problem in the Assembly.
“Many families who lose their single bread ears to pandemics will not get any compensation.
Therefore the government must change the policy followed by reporting death,” said Vd Sathean The effort was carried out to cover Covid deaths to project the country as a coronavirus detention model.
KPCC K Sudhakaran also accused the government not to disclose the actual data.
“Many families that deserve to come out of the list if the state or state government comes with a help package for them, ‘ ‘he said.
