Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala on Monday reported 19,688 fresh Covid-19 and 135 cases of deaths pushed the total infection which was calculated to 42.27,526 and deaths up to 21,631, said the state government.
The rate of testicitivity (TPR) was found 16.71 percent after testing 1,17,823 samples in the last 24 hours, according to the release of the state government.
With this, 3,25,08,136 samples have been tested until now, he said.
Bulletin also said that since Sunday, 28,561 people have recovered from infection taking total recovery to 39,66,557 and the number of active cases to 2,38,782.
Among 14 state districts, Thrissur recorded the highest by 3,120 cases followed by Kozhikode (2,205), Ernakulam (2,029), Malappuram (1,695), Kollam (1,569), Palakkad (1,483), alappuzha (1,444), alappuzha (1,444)), Kannur (1,262) and Kottayam (1,020), the release said.
Of new cases, 81 are health workers, 111 from outside the country and 18,602 were infected through contact with the contact source unclear in 894 cases.
At present there are 6,20,739 people under supervision in various districts.

The state government also said that 75 percent of the total population that eligible for vaccination has been given a vaccine dose on September 5 and 28 percent of the qualified population has been given a dose on the same date.
More than 92 percent of people over the age of 45 have received a dose and 48 percent of the same age group has received both Jabs until now, the release said.
Furthermore, said that only 12.82 percent of cases currently under treatment were received in hospitals or field hospitals and less than 1 percent of those who underwent treatment in the ICU.
The state government said that those who were covid were positive and also suffered from comorbidity must avoid staying at home.
