Thiruvananthapuram: The country witnessed 6,444 positive Covid cases from 64,999 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
Among new cases, 5,521 people have taken vaccinations and 1,997 people who tested positive covid on that day had not taken a single dose.
However, 2,348 people among new cases have taken both doses of vaccines.
At present, the total active case is 74,618, which is 8% of people are accepted both in hospitals or other care centers.
Meanwhile, 45 recently confirmed deaths as caused by Covid, taking dead victims in the country to 32,236.
At the same time, 8,424 patients have recovered from infection.
Among new cases, 5,913 has been infected through local deployment.
Contact sources of infection cannot be traced to 452.
There are 31 health professionals among those infected and 48 people have arrived from outside the country.
Thiruvananthapuram with 990 reported the highest number of cases, followed by Ernakulam (916), Thrissur (780), Kozhikod (648), Kollam (606), Palakkad (332), Malappuram (290), Malappuram (290)), Kannur (255) , Alappuzha (228), Pathanamthitta (213), Wayanad (92) and Kasaragod (76).
