Thiruvananthapuram: The government has ensured that regular travelers from Kasilagod who crossed the border to Mangaluru were offered RPCR tests with priority at the border after the Karnataka regulation, said Pinarayi Vijayan’s Minister in the Assembly on Thursday.
Reply to submission by Mla Mla AKM Ashraff, Vijayan said that Karanataka had made mandatory restrictions since August 2 at the border at Thalappady.
The government has also deployed police on the border to eliminate tourist concerns and offer the necessary assistance.
He said that even though the Interior Ministry (MHA) had ordered that there would be no regulations for travel between states, borders could not be closed.

Karnataka has imposed travel restrictions for travelers from the country, including regular commuters from Chasilgod to Mangaluru.
