Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala on Sunday recorded 12,220 fresh Covid-19 cases, pushing the infection casts to 30.65,336, while the toll road rose to 14,586 with 97 deaths.
Recovery exceeds the number of new cases with 12,502 people recovered, taking the total number to 29,35,423, said the release of the state government.
The number of active cases reached 1,14,844 Malappuram contributed most cases (1,861), Kozhikode (1428), Thrissur (1307), Ernakulam (1128), Kollam (1012), Thiruvananthapuram (909).
From new cases, 40 are health workers, 71 comes from outside the country and 11,497 is infected through contacts, with an unclear contact source in 612 cases, the word release.
In the last 24 hours, 1,16,563 samples were tested, taking the cumulative amount of specimens examined as far as 2.44,24,563 the positive rate of test (TPR) was 10.48 percent.
At present there are 3,86,876 people under supervision in various countries.
Of these, 3.62,022 was in the quarantine of a house or institutional and 24,854 in the hospital.
