Kerala reported 12,297 fresh covid-19 cases, 74 deaths

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala on Sunday recorded 12,297 Covid-19 fresh cases and 74 deaths, took Caseload to 47.20,233 and the toll road to 25,377.
The number of people recovered from infection since Saturday 16,333, which brought the total recovery to 45.57,199 and the number of active cases to 1,37,043, the official press release said.
A total of 88,914 samples were tested in the last 24 hours, he said.
Among the 14 districts, Ernakulam recorded the highest number of cases with 1,904, followed by thrissur (1,552), Thiruvananthapuram (1,420) and Kozhikode (1,112).
From new cases, 50 are health workers, 61 from outside the country and 11,742 are infected through contact, with the source is unclear at 444.
At present there are 4,29,581 people under supervision in various districts, including 4,12,902 in the quarantine of the house or institutional and 16,679 in the hospital.
