Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala on Wednesday crossed 10,000 marks in fresh Covid-19 cases after a gap of nearly three months, with the country reported 12,742 new infections that raised rubber to 53.04.022.
The southern state has reported 11,150 cases on October 20 last year and has since noted less than 10,000 infections every day.
With 2,552 more people recovered from viruses since Tuesday, total recovery reached 52.07,762.
However, because the number of recovery was far less than the new Covid-19 case, the active case in the country crossed a sign of 50,000 to reach 54,430, said government liberation.
Active cases in the state have dropped below 20,000 at a time before rising again for the past week Kerala on Wednesday also reported 199 deaths that raised the total death to 50,254.
From death, 23 recorded over the past few days and 176 was appointed as Covid-19 deaths after receiving an appeal based on the new central guidelines and the direction of the Supreme Court.

Among the 14 districts, Thiruvananthapuram recorded the highest with 3,498 new cases followed by Ernakulam (2,214), Kozhikode (1,164), Thrissur (941) and Kottyam (941).
From new cases, 125 were health workers, 597 from outside the country and 11,327 were infected through contact with the source unclear in 693, the release said.
At present there are 1,41,293 people under supervision in various districts, including 1,38,264 in the house or institutional quarantine and 3,029 in hospitals, the release said.
