Kerala reported 13,217 new Covid-19 cases, 121 deaths

Kochi: Kerala on Saturday recorded 13,217 new Covid-19 cases and 121 deaths, took cooperatives to 47.07.936 and the dead to 25,303.
Health Minister Veena George said the state had tested 96,835 samples in the last 24 hours and there were 745 wards in the 368 local self-government agencies where the weekly population infection ratio was above ten percent.
“There were 1,41,155 cases of active in a state of only 11 percent in the hospital,” Minister said in the release.
Among the districts, Ernakulam reported the highest number of fresh infections on Saturday – 1,730, followed by Thiruvananthapuram 1,584 and 12.579 thrissur.
Meanwhile, 14,437 people were restored from this disease, taking a total of recovery in the country to 45.40,866.
“From those who were found infected on Saturday, 51 reached a country from the outside of 12,458 contracted disease through their contacts.
The source of 623 infection has not been traced and 85 health workers also among those infected,” said the release.
There were 4,37,864 people in observations which were 17,308 in the path of isolation from various hospitals.
