Thiruvananthapuram: With Kerala Logging 14,373 Cover Covid-19 Fresh on Tuesday, pushing Kaseload to 29,96,094, the state government decided to give preference to students aged between 18-23 years, private bus employees and migrant workers in drive vaccination.
As many as 10,751 people have recovered from infection, taking total recovery to 28.77,557 and active cases to 1.04.105, the government said in press releases.
The toll road was installed up to 13,960 with the addition of 142 deaths recently due to infection.
In the last 24 hours ended 2PM, 1.31,820 samples tested and the test level (TPR) was 10.9 percent.
So, 2,37,68,112 the sample was tested.
There are 88 areas where TPR is more than 18 percent.
The high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Tuesday decided to revise the Covid sidewalk after reclassification of the area according to the TPR.
The area where TPR below 5 percent, will be under the ‘A’ category, between 5-10 percent below the ‘B’ category and 10-15 percent under ‘C’ and those who have TPR more than 15 percent in ‘ Category D ‘.
In places falling under the ‘A’ and ‘B’ category, all government employees can attend offices, takeaways, and shipping houses from hotels and restaurants will be permitted until 9:30 a.m., indoor games and gymnasium can function without AIR CONDITIONING.
A place with good air circulation must be chosen for the same thing and no more than 20 people will be allowed at a time.
Only 50 percent of employees can attend government offices in the ‘C’ category.
In accordance with the standard operating procedure of the Ministry of Health Center and Guidelines for Ministry of Tourism, Houses and other facilities that offer accommodation to tourists can work.
Visitors who have been vaccinated and those who have a negative RT-PCR certificate can be permitted in tourist attractions, said government liberation.
Only if there is a decrease in Covid cases, the government will think of bringing other relaxation.
Malappuram recorded the current number of cases – 2,110, followed by Kollam 1,508 and Ernakulamp 1,468.
From positive cases, 77 were health workers, 58 people came from outside the country and 13,516 were infected through contact.
At least 3,60,300 people were in observations and 24,139 were in the hospital.
The government also decided to provide preference to students aged between 18-23 years, guest workers (migrant workers) and private bus employees for vaccination drives.
Students who go abroad for higher studies will also be given preferences, said government liberation.
