Thiruvananthapuram: The country reported 15,637 new Covid-19 cases from 1.55,882 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
A total of 128 Covid deaths have been confirmed, taking dead victims in the state to 14,939.
The state also reported 12,974 recovery, and at present, 1.17,708 people are in care.
TPR is 10.03%.
Among new cases, 14,717 cases have been infected through local transmission.
Infection contact sources cannot be traced to 797.
There are 66 health care professionals among those infected and 57 people have arrived from outside the country.
Among all districts, Malappuram has reported the highest number of cases (2,030), followed by Kozhikode (2,022), Ernakulam (1,894), Thrissur (1,154), Kollam (1,154), Thiruvananthapuram (1,111), Alaxka (1,111), alappuzha (930 ), Kannur (912), Kottayam (804), Kasaragod (738), Pathanamthitta (449), Wayanad (433) and Idukki (323).
So far, 29,70,175 people have recovered from infections in the state, even as 1,17,708 patients still undergo treatment for the same thing.
2.48.04,801 samples have been sent for testing until now.
The people infected through local contacts are Malappuram with (1,968), Kozhikode (1,984), Ernakulam (1,839), Thrissur (1,694), Kollam (1,149), Thiruvananthapuram (1,050), alappuzha (911), kannur (799), Kottayam (763), Kasaragod (726), Pathanamthitta (437), Wayanad (428) and Idukki (315).
There are 3,92,170 people currently observing in various countries, where 3,67,560 are in their homes or institutional quarantine centers and 24,610 in isolation in hospitals.
