Kochi: Kerala on Sunday reported 18,582 new Covid-19 cases that pushed the total infection to 36.69 lakh, because the number of people who surrendered to disease rose to 18,601 with 102 deaths.
A total of 20,829 people have recovered from infection since Saturday, taking a total recovery to 34.92,367 and the number of active cases in the state to 1,78,630, said the release of the state government.
In the last 24 hours, 1,22,970 samples were tested and TPR was found 15.11 percent.
So far, 2,94,57,951 samples have been tested, he said.
Some of the worst affected districts in this country are Malappuram 2681, Thrishikur 2423, Kozhikode 2361, Palakkad 1771, Kannur 1257, Kollam 1093, Alappuzha 941, Kottayam 929 and Thiruvananthapuram 927.
From new cases, 68 are health workers, 141 coming From outside the state and 17,626 was infected through contact with the contact source unclear in 747 cases, the release said.
At present there are 4,99,9031 people under supervision in various countries.
Of these, 4,71,395 is located in a house or institutional quarantine and 27,636 in the hospital.
