Thiruvananthapuram: The country witnessed 21,427 positive cases of 1.38,225 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
The level of testicitivity (TPR) is 15.5%.
Meanwhile, 179 recently confirmed deaths as caused by Covid, took casualties in the country to 19,050.
At the same time, 18,731 patients had recovered from this disease.
Among new cases, 20,262 cases have been infected through local transmission.
Infection contact sources cannot be tracked for 971.
There are 86 health professionals among those infected and 108 people have arrived from outside the country.
Malappuram reported the highest number of cases with (3,089), followed by Kozhikode (2,821), Ernakulam (2,636), Thrissur (2,307), Palakkad (1,324), Kannur (1,326), Kollam (1,163), Kottayam (1,163), Kottayam (1,133) ), Alappuzha (1,005), Idukki (773), Pathanamthitta (773), Kasaragod (607) and Wayanad (559).
So far, 35,48,196 people have recovered from Koronavirus infection in the state, even as 1,77,683 patients still undergo treatment for the same thing.
There are a total of 4,98,630 people currently observing in various countries, where 4,70,771 are in their homes or institutional quarantine centers and 27,859 in isolation in hospitals.
In accordance with the weekly infection population ratio (WIPR), 634 wards in 87 local bodies have more than 8% WIPR.
In this ward, strict locking restrictions have been implemented.
