Kochi: Kerala on Friday recorded 25,010 new Covid-19 cases and 177 deaths, took Caseload to 43.34,704 and the death toll became 22,303.
The Minister of Health Veena George said 1,51,317 samples were tested in the last 24 hours and the test level of the test was 16.53 percent.
Among the districts, Thrissur reported the current number of new cases – 3,226, followed by Ernakulam with 3,034 and Malappuram 2,606.
“There were 2,37,643 cases of Covid-19 active and only 12.9 percent were hospitalized,” Minister said in the release.
Of those found infected on Friday, 102 reached the country from the outside of 23,791 contracted disease from their contacts.
The source of infection of 1,012 people has not been tracked and 105 health workers also among those infected, said Minister.
Meanwhile, 23,535 people were restored from this disease, taking a total of recovery up to 40.74,200.
There were 4,108 wards in the 794 local government agency with a weekly infection population ratio above 7 percent.
