Kochi: Kerala records 32,803 new Covid cases on Wednesday – a single highest increase in the number of cases after 99 days.
As many as 1,74,854 samples were tested for the past 24 hours.
The positivity test (TPR) test continues above 15% for the sixteenth day at 18.76%.
A total of 173 deaths reported in the last 24 hours took the total amount of death to the country to 20,961.
While 21,610 people recovered from infection, the number of active patients in the state had reached 2,29,912.
Two districts and Ernakulamwere are most affected and have reported more than 4,000 cases.
Giving districts-wise, officials said Thrissur reported 4,425 cases, Ernakulamp 4,351, Kozhikode 3,099, Kollam 2,663, Thirukkad and Kasaragod 614.

The state has imposed restrictions based on the population ratio of weekly infection (WIPR).
