Kerala reported 6,444 new Covid-19 cases, 187 deaths

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala recorded 6,444 fresh Covid-19 cases and 187 related deaths that increased cooperatives to 49.80,398 and deaths to 32,236, said the state government on Tuesday.
With 8,424 more people recovered from viruses since Monday, total recovery touched 48,72,930 and active cases reached 74,618, the official press release said.
Of the 187 deaths, 45 reported for the past few days, 87 were those who were not confirmed until June 18 last year due to lack of adequate documentation and 55 were designated as Covid deaths after receiving an appeal based on new guidelines based on new guidelines and the direction of the Supreme Court, said release it.
A total of 64,999 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
Among the 14 districts, Thiruvananthapuram recorded the highest with 990 cases followed by Ernakulam (916) and thrissur (780).
From new cases, 31 are health workers, 48 ​​from outside the country and 5.913 were infected through contact with the source unclear at 452.
