Kerala reported 6,580 new Covid-19 cases, 46 deaths

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala reported 6,580 cases of Covid-19 fresh and 46 deaths on Friday, taking the total affected in the country to 5001,835 and the toll road to 33,048.
ThiruvananthaThapuram district with 878 cases, followed by Ernakulam (791) and thrissur (743).
A total of 7,085 people were recovered from this disease, taking cumulative to 48.94,435.
The State Health Department said 62,219 samples were tested in the last 24 hours and there were 46 wards in 39 local government bodies with a weekly infection population ratio above 10 percent.
“At present, there are 73,733 cases of Covid-19 active in conditions that only 7.3 percent of people are hospitalized,” said the Ministry of Health in the release.
There were 2,47,485 people in observations in the state, where 6,626 were observing in various hospitals.
From those found infected today, 22 arrived in the state of the outside while 6,167 contracted disease through their contacts.
Source of infection 352 has not been traced.
Thirty-nine health workers also included infected, said liberation.
While 95 percent (2,53,89,943) from the targeted population received the first dose of vaccines, 53.2 percent (1,42,22,957) received a dose, he said.
