Kerala reported 7,124 new Covid-19 cases, 201 deaths

Thiruvananthapuram: After crossing a 50-lakh sign in the Covid-19 case in total two days ago, Kerala recorded 7,124 fresh coronavirus infections and 201-related deaths that raised the cashier to 50.15.505 and death to 33,505.
With 7,488 more people recovered from viruses since Saturday, the total recovery touched 49.08,857 and active cases reached 72,310 on Sunday, the official press release said.
From the death of 201, 21 reported for the past few days, 153 were those who were not confirmed until June 18 last year due to lack of adequate documentation and 27 appointed as Covid deaths after receiving an appeal based on new guidelines in the center.
And the direction of the Supreme Court, said the release.
A total of 65,306 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
Among the 14 districts, Ernakulam recorded the highest with 1,061 cases followed by Thiruvananthapuram (1,052) and thrissur (726).
From new cases, 29 are health workers, 23 from outside the country and 6,713 were infected through contact with the source unclear at 359.
At present there are 2,35,910 people under supervision in various districts, including 2,29,289 in the quarantine of the house or institutions and 6,621 in hospitals.
