Kerala reported 8,538 new Covid-19 cases, 363 deaths

Kochi: Kerala on Sunday recorded 8,538 cases of fresh coronavirus, and 363 related deaths raised derivatives to 49.06.125 and tolls to 28,592.
Of the 363 deaths, 71 reported in the last few days, 211 were those who were not confirmed until June 18 last year due to the lack of adequate documentation and 81 were designated as Covid-19 deaths after receiving an appeal based on the new guidelines for the center and the Supreme Court, said a release state government.
With 11,366 more people recovered from viruses since Saturday, total recovery touched 48.08,775 and active cases fell to 77,363, the release said.
A total of 79,100 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
Among the 14 districts, Ernakulam recorded the highest by 1,481 cases, followed by Thiruvananthapuram 1,210 and thrissur 852.
From new cases, 42 were health workers, 32 from outside the country and 8,212 were infected through the source unclear 252.
There are currently 2,69,881 People under supervision in various districts, including 2,61,252 were in the quarantine of a house or institutional and 8,629 in the hospital.
