Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala on Monday recorded 8,850 fresh Covid-19 cases and 149 deaths, taking Caseload to 47.29,083 and the toll road to 25,526.
The number of people who recovered from infection from Sunday was 17.007, which brought total recovery to 45.74,206 and the number of active cases to 1,28,736, the official press release said.
A total of 74,871 samples were tested in the last 24 hours, he said.
Among the 14 districts, Thiruvananthapur recorded the highest number of cases with 1,134, followed by thrissur (1,077) and Ernakulam (920).
From new cases, 50 are health workers, 42 from outside the country and 8,368 were infected through contact, with the source was unclear at 390.
At present there are 4,15,489 people under supervision in various districts, including 399,228 in the quarantine of the house or institutional and 16,261 in the hospital.
