Thiruvananthapuram: The election of the priest of the new Head of Sabarimala and Malikapuram Temple will be held on October 17, the first day of Malayalam Moon Thulam.
The new Head of Melsanthis (Melsanthis) will bear costs on November 16 and will continue for a period of one year.
The new selection of Melsanthis will be detained through the Lottery in Sannidhanam in the presence of Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB), President of N Vasu and other top officials.
The Board has chosen the names of nine people for the position of the Head of the Head of Sabarimala and 10 for the Malikapuram Temple, which was held last week’s interview.
The Sabarimala Temple will open at 5 pm on Saturday for Thulamasa Puja.

The worshipers will be allowed to enter the Sabarimala Temple just from 5 am in October 17.
They will be permitted only based on a virtual ordering system and must produce a double dose vaccination certificate or a negative RT-PCR certificate in Nilackal.
The temple will be closed on October 21 after completing a monthly puash and will be reopened for Atta Chithira Puja on November 2 and will be closed the next day after the puja.
