Kerala: Sabarimala Temple to Open Today, Darshan for worshipers from tomorrow

Thiruvananthapuram: SREE DHARMA SASTHA Temple in Sabarimala will open to Mandala Puja on Monday.
The worshipers will be permitted to have Darshan only from Tuesday, on the first day of Malayalam Vrishchikam.
Because of the applicable climate conditions, the state government has decided to limit the entry of worshipers to Sabarimala in the early days.
Although it was decided to allow 30,000 worshipers to Darshan per day, it has now been decided to limit the amount due to the detrimental situation that applies in Pathanamthitta Regency.
Police and Travancore Council Devaswom will make decisions about how many worshipers can be permitted every day, on Monday.
Because the decision has been taken to limit the number of worshipers, the people who order through the virtual queue system will be given an alternative date for Darshan.
The police department has been asked to make the settings needed for this.
It has been decided that worshipers will not be allowed to take ritualistic sauce in Pamba until the water level decreases.
Although there was a decision to start booking a place in Nilackal, it was postponed while reducing the rush of worshipers.
The authorities have decided to ensure that Swami Ayyappan’s trekking route is safe for trekking for worshipers during heavy rain.
Travancore Devaswom Board and the State Health Department has made it mandatory that future worshipers for Darshan must bring the Covid Vaccination settlement certificate or RT-PC negative test certificate conducted 72 hours before the trip.
For worshipers choose place bookings (when they start), they must bring all relevant documents to prove their address and identity.
On Monday, Melshanti V J Jayaraj Potti in power will open the Sanctum Sanctorum from the temple at 5 pm and will turn on the lights.
Melsanthi-appointed Sabarimala Temple, Kalekkal Madathil N Parameshwaran Nampoothiri in Mavelikara, and Melsanthi-Designate of Malikappuram Temple, Thridri Kuravakkodu IlThu Shambu Nampu Nampu from Panniyankara in Kozhikode, will assume the cost of it.
Mandala Puja will be held on December 16 and the temple will be closed on the same day.
