Kerala: Strike announced by PG Medicos withdrawn

Thiruvananthapuram: Boycot of emergency services was announced by Postgraduate Medical Students (PG) from the government’s medical college hospital from Wednesday with Tuesday.
The decision was taken by the Post Post Kerala Association after talks between representatives and Minister of Health Veena George on Tuesday night.
The State Secretary of the Association of Dr.
Naveen R said the group held a meeting with ministers who convinced the recruitment of non-academic junior citizens within two days.
“Therefore, we draw ongoing strikes and boycott from all emergency services starting on Wednesday,” he added.
PG medical students decided to boycott emergency services from Wednesday because the government failed to respond to their demands even though the six-day strike was carried out without affecting patient care in all college hospitals.
Senior doctors at the Medical College Hospital and Branch of the State of the Indian Medical Association support the PG Medicos strike and also urge the government to solve their problems.
Residents of doctors across the country are in protests for days with delays in Neet PG counseling and lack of junior residents in various hospitals in the state.
The population of all the government’s medical college hospitals had been burdened and there were only two batches that replaced the usual three now.
