Thiruvananthapuram: The world of snow spread across 5,000 square feet in Tsunami Park, near Shangumugham has become a hit among the visitors.
The world of ice and snow, namely “Wonder White” is a joint venture of the District Tourism Promotion Board (DTPC) and a private company “3D Max Imaginations”.
Expo is being held to attract more visitors to Shanghumugham.
Expo has been designed in such a way that it resembles a snowy hilly area.
Started in a cave that finally led to the door to the snowy mountains.
Elements, including snow down, snowy land, bridges, trees, special lighting systems, igloo, ice ponds, pine trees are displayed.
The kiosk, photography angle and frame, multiplication representation, audio visual and stage settings have also been arranged in the exhibition.
The budget for this program is around Rs 15 Lakh.
The ice for snowy yard is sourced from the ice factory that has been taken for rent by the company for the exhibition period.
Visitors can play with ice on the ground.
It will melt and flow towards the ice pool.
This water will be used for waterfalls and flow back to the pool.
Water in the pool will be removed at a regular time interval.
About 150 kg of ice must be refilled every day.
The ice will be simultaneously transported from an ice factory to the exhibition place.
Polyfoam sheets have been used to build exhibition structures in the form of mountains.
The mountains have been given white and blue in such a way that it resembles a snowy hilly area.
Seven famous art workers from all of Kerala have worked on this project.
The exhibition starts on Sunday and will continue until January 16.
Time starts at 16:00 to 10.00.
The visitors must pay the entrance fee of Rs 150.
