Of the 30 cases, 14 cases have been registered in Ernakulam, including in North Parvur, Kotamangalam, Muvattupuzha, Aluva, Nedumbassery and Perumbavoor, while four cases have been registered in Palakkad, three in Malappuram, two in Alappuzha, Kozhikode Rural and Kasaragod and each -Masing in Thiruvananthapuram Rural, Kollam City, Kottayam and Russian Thrissur.
Cases have been registered under Section 153 of the Indian Criminal Code and 120 (O) from Kerala Police Act, 2011.
Until recently, state police have intensified supervision on social media because they use it to create communal tension.
In 2018, after Hartal who was riding in a state of using the cover of the rape of Kathua and the murder using social media, the police have focused on several groups of WhatsApp, especially those based on North Kasaragod and South Karnataka who strive to create more communal divisions with the guise of police action against hartal perpetrators.
Some such groups have created a poster hate digital on behalf of the Indian Social Democratic Party (SDPI) and Islamic organization students (SIO) accused that there was a Nexus between RSS and CPM.
Likewise, when the verdict in Sabarimala caused tensions in the state, the police must depend on IT cells in a large way to supervision on social media.
