Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Government has appointed former officer IAS Santosh Babu as the Implementing Director of the State Information Technology Infrastructure Kerala Limited.
Santhosh Babu served as the main secretary of the Information Technology Department in Tamil Nadu before taking voluntary retirement in 2020.
The command of the Kerala government issued on October 7 stated that ‘the government would love to be Santthosh Babu as a limited infrastructure.

‘Officer IAS EAS 1995, Santhosh Babu has served in various capacities in Tamil Nadu.
When he had six more years to serve, Santhosh Babu called it a stop on August 2020 and took VRS.
In the next four months, he joined Kamal Haasan Makkal Maiam (MNM).
Babu was immediately used as the Secretary General (headquarters) of the MNM and also played a key role in compiling the party’s election manifesto.
Babu has noted in the next media interaction Babu said that he wanted to join politics after his retirement to give good governance but took a long plung beforehand because of the situation.
For months before taking VRS, Babu was on the news on his rejection to clean up the tender of the multi-crore Bharatnet suspected of leaning.
However, after a failed offer in the election of the Maiden Assembly, he stopped from MNM for personal reasons.
As a MNM candidate from the Velachery assembly segment, IT hub, he can only come to third place – behind the Congress and PMK candidate.
