Thiruvananthapuram: All tourist destinations in the state will be opened on Monday and they will fully function, the Minister of Tourism P Muhamad Riyas said here on Sunday.
He also said the Ministry of Tourism would celebrate Onam on this year’s virtual platform.
The state cannot conduct a week’s week’s celebration because of last year’s pandemic.
The tourism center is opened by supervising domestic tourists.
Everyone who has taken at least one dose of vaccine will be allowed to stay at hotels and resorts while similar conditions will apply to employees too, he said.
The minister said such tourist accommodation will be permitted even in the detention zone.
The mobile application is being prepared by connecting all tourist locations that have not been explored in the state.
The state tourism sector has suffered a loss around RS 33,000 Crore during March-December 2020 because of the Covid-19 outbreak.
In addition, the estimate of RS 7,000 Crore has disappeared in a way of foreign exchange, he said.
Expat org will be made part of Onam’s celebration celebration, Riyas said the art, culture, food varieties, and leading tourist destinations will be exhibited virtually with the help of visual media and other ways.

Any group from anywhere in the world can participate in the event, and there will be separate prizes for entries from countries and abroad, he said.
Registration will begin on the website in August 10.
