Thiruvananthapuram: The country has witnessed a positive 20,224 case of 1,19,385 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
The level of testicitivity (TPR) has increased to 16.94%.
Meanwhile, 99 recently confirmed deaths as caused by Covid, took the death toll to 19,346.
At the same time, 17,142 patients had recovered from this disease.
Among new cases, 19,205 cases have been infected through local transmission.
Infection contact sources cannot be traced to 785.
There are 97 health professionals among those infected, and 137 people have arrived from outside the country.
Thrissur reported the highest number of cases with 2,795, followed by Ernakulam (2,707), Kozhikode (2,705), Malakpuram (2,611), Palakkad (1,528), Kollam (1,138), alappuzha (1,115), Kannur (1,034)), Thiruvananthapuram (835) , Pathanamthitta (797), Wayanad (524), Idukki (520) and Kasaragod (440).
So far, 35.84,634 people have recovered from Coronavirus infection, even as 1,82,285 patients still undergoing treatment.
There are 4,91,871 people currently observing in various districts, where 4,64,919 are in the center of housekeeping or institutional and 26,952 in isolation in hospitals.
In accordance with the weekly infection population ratio, 414 wards in 74 local bodies have more than 8% WIPR.
