Kerala: Veteran actor Nedumudi Venu Bids Adieu, his character remains forever

Thiruvananthapuram: Nedumudi Venu (K Venugopal), whose training in the theater helped him projects the presence that is not required in front of the camera too and leaves an indelible trace in Malayalam’s cinema, dies in a private hospital here on Monday.
He is 73 and is in treatment for a disease related to the stomach.

Cremation will be held in Santhikavadom with a full state award at 14:00.
Venu has acted more than 500 films, including several Tamil films, in his career which includes five decades and will always be remembered because of his extraordinary versatility, both at home in parallel cinemas and popular films.
He maintains preferences for music and theater from an early age and is active in the game during school and college.
His acting skills bloomed under the deceased Kavalam Narayana Panicker who stomped his hand from the drama stage in Alappuzha.
Venu found the world of his dreams in the experimental theater conceived by Kavalam who combined acting, singing, dancing and playing musical instruments.
The legendary director of Aravindan directed the ‘Avanavan Kadamba’ panicker, who opened the door to the Malayalam cinema for Venu.
He made his debut at Aravindan’s ‘Thampal’, released in 1978.
His obvious talent was immediately shocking with Stalwarts like Bharathan and Padmarajan and he was normal in their films.
