Thiruvananthapuram: The country has kicked an ambitious survey in the village of Abadi and mapping with improvised technology in the village region (Svamitva scheme) which was launched by the Center, which intends to provide integrated property validation solutions for property in rural areas using advanced drone survey technology.
In accordance with the order issued by the Revenue Department in this regard, the state government has established a State Steering Committee, District Monitoring and Visitor Committee, Taluk and Panchayat Committee and Urban Local Monitoring Committee, as part of implementing a scheme in the state.
Additional Chief Secretary (Revenue), District collector, Tahsildar and President Panchayat or the city chairman will be the chairman of the four committees in the state.
There are 1,670 villages in the state.
Accurate surveys use drone technology as a result of where village household owners will receive ‘notes’ from their property as a property card, will enable them to use their property as financial assets to take loans and other financial benefits from the bank.
The project that covers all villages throughout the country, is being carried out as a joint initiative between Indian surveys, the National Informatics Center, Tax Department, the Department of Revenue and Survey and Land Note Department.
The survey director will be a nodal officer for projects in the state.
This initiative is expected to reduce the determination of property taxes to plot by local bodies, relieve prisoners and maintenance of public land parcel and government and reduce property-related disputes.
Parallel with a survey using drones, the state government has been asked to carry out other activities such as engagement with banks to ensure that property cards are recognized by them, ensuring that property cards are related to state land records, ensuring that the registration department allows the creation of registered mortgages and the sale of the land , Create and geotag spatial notes properties with property cards, etc.
The scheme launched at the national level last year, new until now it produces property cards for 7,376 villages in seven.
Country, including Haryana, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh.
Also, the drone survey was completed in 54,023 villages throughout the country with a scheme.
After the drone survey is complete and the digital map is generated, each state government will be responsible for the update of property and map maps in the future.
The frequency of re-survey renewal will also be decided by each state government.
