Thiruvananthapuram: In an effort to facilitate consumer procedures interested in preparing a connected solar roof power plant system, state electric board (KSEB) has decided to set a point of contact at the company’s office level.
The Board will also prepare a user-friendly, comfortable and transparent web portal for solar roof application so applicants can monitor their demand status without difficulty.
The single contact point comes in accordance with the provisions expected in the electricity (consumer rights) rule 2020 which is passed by the Government Government.
KSEB has provided a form on various mechanisms to enable the implementation of the rules that are complexity, which come into force on December 31, 2020.
The decision to regulate a point of contact for the solar installation scheme of the roof is one of the first sets of consumer-friendly initiatives adopted by electric boards.
The single contact point will ensure that consumers do not need to approach various offices or parts if they decide to regulate the roof solar system.
All services, from application submission to factory commissioning, can be disbursed for one contact point.
This rule requires a license holder (KSEB) to display the details of the prominent single point contact on its website.
An officer who is not under the rank of executive engineers at the Chief Engineer office (renewable energy and energy savings) will be appointed as a one-point contact company if there is a connected solar installation.
“Official acting as a single point contact will be a conversation with all laws, regulations, and procedures associated with solar installations and services,” KSEB commands in this case.
The Board has received a good response from consumers to prepare a connected solar plant.
