New Delhi: State President of BJP Madhya Pradesh and Lok Sabha MP Wisnu DTT Sharma on Tuesday said that the Civil Aviation Union Jyotiraditya Scindia has promised a new flight service for Khajuraho who has a UNESCO World Heritage site consisting of a group of interesting monuments.

Sharma, in Delhi to attend a rainy season session in Parliament, said that Khajuraho desperately needed flight connectivity to culturally strong cities in India.
“The prime minister has put a boost on the development in and around Bundelkhand.
Khajuraho has been chosen among the eight cities to have a flying training academy.
So the next request is to have flight connectivity.
I met with the New Civil Aviation Union Jyotiraditya Scindia who had convinced to have a service Spicejet in October from Khajuraho to Delhi.
These are two big movements and welcome, “Sharma said.
MP also said it was not profitable that Air India’s flight services in Khajuraho were cut off due to covid restrictions.
“We also want to connect Varanasi and Udaipur directly to Khajuraho.
So it’s on the runway too,” he said.
He stressed that the Finance Minister Union Nirmala Sitharaman in this year’s budget speech has said that Khajuraho together with Dholavira in Gujarat, Hampi in Karnataka, Mahabalipuram in Tamil Nadu, Kaziranga in Assam, Kumarakom at Mahabodhi Temple in Bihar, among others, has been identified as 17 iconic sites to draw tourism.
Sharma also said that it was a double excitement for the Bundelkhand region this year as Virendra Kumar, a member of Parliament seven times and a prominent face of Dalit from Tikamgarh Regency, has returned to the Union Ministers’ Council.
