Gurgaon: Traffic police plan to set ‘Khula Durbar’ on October 13 to help vehicle owners clean their unpaid spells.
A one-day camp will be arranged at the Traffic Police Tower, where vehicle owners can pay a fine.
The owner must produce identification and can make payments through cash cards, credit or debit.
The police said the camp was being held to help vehicle owners in paying their challan without difficulty.
According to the plan stated by the traffic police to make a hassle free experience, vehicle owners fenced between October and November 2020 must arrive between 9am and 10:30 to pay a fine.
Those who were punished between December 2020 and January 2021, had to arrive between 10:30 in the morning until noon, and so on.
The camp will last until 5pm.
Previously, vehicle owners had to queue outside the Challan branch and wait for hours for their turn.
This initiative has been welcomed by vehicle owners.
“This is a good initiative.
Traffic police must come with such initiatives from time to time.
This will save our time and create awareness among people,” Arun said, residents of DLF-5.
“There are many who have changed their telephone numbers or addresses and knows that they have been punished long ago.
For such people, this will provide assistance,” said a police officer.
