Kin Covid Victims Appears in Collector’s Office for RS50K Compensation

Nagpur: A 18-year-old girl aspires to become a classical singer, seems desperate to find out the status of its application for RS50,000 compensation stated for the Covid victim’s family.
He approached the Office of the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) at the Collector’s Office on Thursday.
A 21-year-old engineering student was 21 years old, whose father died in April during the peak of the second wave, also looked worried.
More than 5,000 applications have been submitted so far, said officials at the collector’s office.
The NMC health team examined the application filed from the city while Zilla Parishad health officials verified who came from the countryside before being sent to the collector’s office for the final review and disbursement.
“My father is a guard and only gives family members.
After his death because Covid, our family is in a terrible strait,” said the girl who came to the collector’s office after facing technical barriers while filing a complaint.
The R Vimala District collector on Thursday formed a Taluka level team that will visit Door-to-Door requested KIN nearby Covid victims to apply for RS50,000 compensation announced by the state government.
The team headed by Tehsildar will consist of talathis, Asha workers, health and other income department personnel at the grassroots or village level.
The team will visit the residence of Covid victims in accordance with the official record of the Ministry of Health.
District Health Officers (DHO) have made Nodal officers.
Disaster Management District Ankush Gawande coordinates the process between various institutions to disburs instalties.
The collector has asked the team to expand personal assistance to the family of Covid victims who cannot file complaints online.
Previously, Vimala had urged management of setu outlets in the countryside and Apple Sarkar to help in online applications.
The source of the collector’s office states that the eight member team headed by the collector will filter the application.
“Redressal cells complaints have also been formed to handle complaints,” said an official.
“The closest KIN of the victim must submit an application through the Mahacovid1relief.in website attaching a certificate of death, Covid death proof, the certificate does not object from the family, the details of the bank and evidence of identification,” said the official by adding the procedure and filing is stored as simple as possible.
Under the supervision of Vimala, DDMA also released videos made to explain the application submission procedure with website details.
Many applicants experience technical barriers while applying for an application to make the road to the collector’s office.
An official said this process was launched recently and still developed through modification and improvement.
“Applicants must wait some time to see if they receive any response or close the complaint complaint cell,” the official said.
