Kolkata: Ira Basu – Sister 70 years from former Bengal Buddhadeb Head Minister, Mira’s wife – who has lived on the sidewalk in the northern suburbs of the city, shifted to the city mental hospital by the Barrackpore police on Friday.

Krishnakali Chandra, headmaster at this time, added that even though Ira was entitled to retire, she had not claimed it.
On Friday, Barrackpore School District Inspector asked Chandra to submit the bodies to process their retirement payments.
Mental Health Activists and Ratnaboli Psychologist Clinics Ray said: “He has lived on the sidewalk with dignity for years.
He has made a bank transaction.
Then why did he take it? It fully violates the mental health law.”
