Mumbai: Claiming that more than 700 farmers died during protests throughout the year against the three satisfaction of agricultural law, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Sunday demanded that the deceased relatives were given financial assistance from PMS funds, two days after the Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the revocation of three legislates .
Speaking to reporters here, the Raut claimed that many puppies have died at the location of protests near Delhi while some suicides and others were killed in police shots.
Some were destroyed to death at Lakhimpur Kheri.
They all protested agricultural law, he said.
“The government has now realized its mistakes and attracts agricultural laws.
There is a request from various parts of the country that the cyclicals of farmers who lose their lives must be compensated financially,” said Raut.
Accused that “countless money” lying at PM Cares Fund, Raut said this money must be used as ex-gratia for relatives of the farmers who died.
“Only apologies to farmers are not enough.
Supporting their families is important,” he said apparently referring to the Prime Minister’s speech.
Asks about the health of Maharashtra Minister Uddhav Thackeray, who recovered in hospital after undergoing surgery, Raut said Thackeray’s health improved.
“I spoke with Uddhavji yesterday (Saturday).
We feel he must fully recover and then return to work,” he said.
