New Delhi: Chairman of the Minister of Arvind Kejriwal launched a social security scheme for families affected by a pandemic on Tuesday.
Called Mukhyamantri Covid-19 Pariwar Aarthik Sahayata Yojana, this scheme aims to support children who have orphans and families who have lost their members to Coronavirus.
Under the scheme, the ex-gratia amount of RS 50,000 will be given to death, and additional retirement of Rs 2,500 per month if the family has lost a breadwinner.

If the person died of Coronavirus, the family will receive Rs 50,000,” Kejriwal said.
He added, “In addition, the RS 2,500 monthly will be given to families who have lost their breadwinner.
Plus, all orphans with Covid will be given Rs 2,500 every month until they reach the age of 25 years.” Three applications for the amount of ex-gratia equal to Rs 50,000 and Lima for RS 2,500 monthly financial assistance were processed on the first day of the scheme on Tuesday.
The Social Welfare Department will be a nodal agent and implementation for the scheme.
“We have tried to cover all types of community parts and parameters.

Qualified applicants need to register as “new users” on https://edistrict.delhigovt.nic.in/ use aadhaar and cellular numbers.
On the submission of successful forms, government representatives will visit the Petitioner’s house within a week to verify information provided by the applicant and to help collect additional information and required documents, if any.
