Kinnaur Longslide: Death Toll Hall Up to 23

Shimla: The death toll in the Nigulsari landslide in the Kinnaur Himachal Pradesh district has increased to 23 after the recovery of six bodies on Saturday.
Nine people are still missing.
The big landslide in Nigulsari on Wednesday had buryed a HRTC bus (Enroute from Reckong-Peo to Haridwar), two cars, passenger vehicles (Sumou) and trucks under the rubble.
On Saturday, the search and rescue team restored six bodies including a woman.
The operation of searches in place still involved 52 ITBP personnel, 56 NDRF personnel and 30 police personnel.
In addition to recovering 23 bodies, the rescue team has saved 13 people.
Those who were saved were treated at the Bhawanagar Community Health Center (CHC) from where two were further sent for medical care at Shimla and Sujanpur.
According to officials, the NH-5 is for vehicle activities and the police team has been deployed on both sides of the sliding point for the management of traffic.
Two cars (Alto and the compensation) have recovered and no one found in the car.
Bolero and passengers still can’t be traced.
Officials say that maybe the vehicle has been rolling with debris.
Passenger vehicles (Sumo) have recovered where eight people were found dead and their bodies were sent for postmortem at CHC Bhawanagar.
The driver’s body recovered from a truck that had rolled towards the side of the river because the stone shooting and large stones.
On Friday, two passengers were injured after the rock shot reached another HRTC bus to Sunnernagar to Reckongpeo.
