Kiran Bedi interacts with IIT-K students

Kanpur: The students in Iit-Kanpur have the opportunity to interact with Kiran Bedi, the first female officer in India Police Services (IPS).
He joined the Udghosh team, on the occasion of the National Girl Day on Monday.
Udghosh is an Iit-Kanpur Annual Sports Festival.
The icon of women’s empowerment, Bedi interacts with IIT-Kanpur students on various topics, with anecdotes that insight into their inspiring trips.
Director, Iit-Kanpur, Professor Abhay Karandikar said, “Kiran Bedi Ji is an icon for young people with extraordinary milestones he has achieved, of all difficulties.
I hope his presence will illuminate the minds of young students and will encourage them to choose the path of courage and perseverance in moving forward in life “.
On that occasion, Kiran Bedi launched an ambitious UDGHOSH program “Wednesday for women” – a unique initiative to celebrate women’s sports legends that are persistent and astonishing achievements serving as inspiration for millions of people in our country.
Being champion of Lawn Asia’s tennis in his youth, Bedi has been a pioneer in breaking down gender barriers and has promoted women from every creed and the area to come to their own.
He also promotes his upcoming book ‘fearful governance’, a time report on government services, which stretches almost five decades.
The guests and participants took a closer look at his life as IPS officers and then as bureaucrats.
Interacting with young Iit-Kanpur viewers, he shares his vision of what is a good government and how students can contribute to improving India.
