New Delhi: Kirti Azad Congress leader, former Secretary General of JDU Pavan Varma and Ashok Tanwar on Tuesday joined the Trinamool Congress in the National Capital in the presence of the head of the Party and Head of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee.
The development came in the middle of the visit of the Bengal Bengal Barat head to Delhi.
He is scheduled to be in the national capital until November 25.
“I will work under the leadership of Mamata Banerjee and I will start working on the field.
BJP’s politics is divisive and we will fight.
Today, personality like he is needed in a country that can show it in the right direction,” Azad said.
Pavan Varma, former adviser to the Head of Bihar Minister Nitish Kumar, was expelled from the JD (U) decision in 2020.
He was a member of parliament until July 2016 and a party spokesman.
Varma has also become a former diplomat and spokesperson for the External Ministry (MEA).
“Seeing the current political situation and potential at Mamata Banerjee, I today join TMC,” he said.
After protecting Tanwar to TMC, Banerjee said that he would go to Kolkata and Goa and he would visit Haryana and the work will soon begin in the state.
“The TMC family is over.
Ashok Tanwar is not alone.
I have told him to start working and he will visit Kolkata and Goa.
He will go to Haryana and travel to the country.
We have to work together and even I want to go to Haryana,” he said.
Azad was suspended from BJP to openly target the Finance Minister Union Arun Jaitley for alleged irregularities and corruption in Delhi and the District Cricket Association in December 2015.
He joined Congress in 2018.
Azad was elected to Lok Sabha Three from Darbhanga in Bihar.
He has opposed the 2014 general election with BJP tickets.
Ashok Tanwar, who was considered close to the leader of the Senior Congress Rahul Gandhi, was a member of Parliament from Sansa during 2009-2014 and also the president of Haryana Party Unit.
He stopped from the days of Congress before the Selection of the Haryana Assembly in October 2019.
He launched his own party, Apna Bharat Morcha, in February this year.
Earlier this year, the Congress leader from Assam Sushmita Dev and former Cave Chief of Goa Luizinho Faleiro had joined TMC.
Former Minister of Union and Party Bharatiya Janata (BJP) Yashwant Sinha also joined TMC last March.
