Kirti Kulhari is riding high on her career but of late, her personal life was in the news when she announced on social media that she is ending her marriage with Saahil in 2016.
In a frank and freewheeling conversation with ETimes, Kirti spoke at length about the split.
According to Kirti, her father was on her side while her mother for sometime at least wanted her to continue with the shaadi.
A point was reached when Kirti felt that her peace and happiness was deserting her and it was imperative that she took a tough call.
Kirti also says that she tried her best to save her marriage but could not.
She however refused to elaborate on the reason or reasons that led to the end of her love story with Saahil.
Kirti said that her close ones know what transpired in her marital relationship but she would rather not discuss it in public domain about the exact nature of those differences.
Kirti goes on to say that her parents have always been very supportive in the decisions that she has taken in her life, including the decision that she wants to be an actress.
