Ranchi: CPI (Maois) Politburo Prashant Bose alias Kishan DA and four other Maoists have been stored in the high-security zone in the Birsa Munda Center in Ranchi, officials said on Tuesday.
He, along with other people, was shifted to Ranchi Jail on Monday.
Kishan Da and CPI’s wife (Maois) Central Committee member Sheela Marandi has been located in a general ward for women.
All six Maoists were shifted to the central prison in Ranchi for health and security reasons.
The government of Sarikela prison has requested that Six will be imprisoned with higher medical facilities and security.
Jail Inspector General (IG) Manoj Kumar said, “We can treat Kishan Da who suffer from several diseases in the prison hospital or at the Institute of Medical Sciences Rajendra as needed.” Ig said that Kishan Da would be separated from other inmates in prison.
He added, “His cell is being stored under the watch supervision with the help of a closed circuit television camera (CCTV) to prevent anyone to meet him.
This is important because a large number of extremists are placed in prison.
There are around 200 CCTV cameras on the prison campus.
“Kishan is likely to be consumed by police from various districts and states in the future.
Kishan Da, his wife together with Maois Virendra Hansda, Raju Tuddu, Krishna Bahanda and Guruchanran Bodra was arrested by the police district of Saraikella on November 12.
