JAMSHEDPUR: The Seriousla-Kharsawan police on Monday took the detention of CPI (Maois) members of the Politburo, Prashant Bose alias Kishan Da, his wife Sheela Marandi and four other extremists, who were arrested last week, for interrogation.
The police took them to an undisclosed location immediately after the Judicial Sub-Division (SDJM) Magvency Court, Kavitanjali Toppo, gave seven days detention.
Along with Bose and Marandi, other people who have been taken to reach is Raju Tudu, Virendra Hansda, Gurucharan Bodra and Krishna Bahanda.
“The court gave a police disposal,” said Seramala-Kharsawan SP Anand Prakash.
Maois’s elderly leader was accused of making several operations related to Naxalite in the three Division Koban District, including the murder of Jamshedpur MP Sunil Mahato on March 4, 2007, and the murder of 14 police in land mines in December in December in December 20, 2002.
Septuagenarian and his wife was monitored by The doctor in the Seraagela division prison as long as they lived in the last 24 hours, said the prison said.
“Considering the elderly and the weak health conditions of the couple, the prison government thinks wisely to keep them under the supervision of the doctor,” said the source.
District police also tend to keep doctors during the interrogation period on the remand.
Bose, Marandi and the other four were forwarded to prison on Sunday after they were produced in the SDJM Court.
The six were arrested from the Gidibera Toll Plaza in the Kandra Police Station area in Seraiikela on Friday, while they traveled to West Singhbhum.
