Kolkata: Kishore Dutta on Tuesday handed over his resignation as an advocate of the state.
Kishore Datta submitted his resignation to the Governor of State Jagdeep Dhankar with personal reasons.
“In the case of Article 165 of the Constitution, it has received the resignation of the direct effects submitted by Shri Kishore Datta, Senior Advocate, as an advocate of the Western Bengal State General @MamataOfficial with the direct effect,” Tweeted Dhankar on Tuesday.
Datta, who took over in February 2017, was the fourth advocate General of West Bengal in a row to resign from the post during the Banerjee Mamata regime.
Anindya Mitra, the first general advocate to take over after the TMC government came to power in 2011, and her replacement of Bim Chatterjee and Jayanta Mitra had also resigned from the post.
