Abu Dhabi: Trent Boult and the Southee Team are the Kings of Swing New Zealand, About but turned off with new balls and looked for inspiring a black hat to the T20 World Cup title.
They faced England in the first semifinal Wednesday in Abu Dhabi where the two veteran sailors would be the key to slamming brakes on the opening Jos Buttler and Jason Roy.
Left-Armer Boult has 11 wickets in the tournament of five matches, both only for Sri Lanka leg-spinner Wanindang Hasaranga’s 16 in eight.
Southee, also 32 years old, has seven goals with sharp right arm stitches.
That’s their dependence, New Zealand just had to call six bowlers in the tournament.
The other four have 14 combined goals; Eight of them had gone to Spinner Ish Sodhi.
“We complement each other with the left arm, right arm,” Southee said, who was also not hunched with a bat.
When he made his debut back in 2008 against England in Napier, he destroyed 77 balls with nine six, batting at 10.
He also took the ball 5-55.
“Our strength is swinging it.
When swinging, it’s dangerous,” Southee added.

They made semi-finals with four wins in five years.
In three wins, Perkasa India was limited to 110, Namibia was above 111 of their 20 overs and Afghanistan was only managed 124.
Bell relaxed between the matches by playing the headache “into headlines”.
He was a relatively late arrival to the T20 Cricket, only made his international debut in 2013.

In the IPL, he was a leading goalkeeper in 2020 with 25 victims because Mumbai Indian claimed the title in Dubai.
IPL 2021 is also played in the UAE and Bell now developing in what conditions are used to.
“I will say this condition here is a big challenge, honestly.
They can change drastically across a few weeks that we have been here,” he said.
“But in the case of our side, and I think the tools we have in our warehouse are a lot of experience we have that can appear on a particular goal.” Bowling on a heavy night moisture bay, he added: “You just took your time and made sure you have a good grip on the ball and just as accurate as you can.” Southee, a veteran from five IPL franchises, has five more years as an international T20 player than a boult.
In 88 matches, he had taken 106 goals to sit with 314 in the test and 190 in Odis.
At the World Cup 50 of 2015, his 7-33 against England in Wellington was ranked in the top of the Wisden Odi from the decade.
“We have played a lot of cricket together since the days of age groups,” said Southee to Thecricketmonthly.com from his relationship with Boult.
“We played for the same domestic side.
We have formed friendship, which goes far in understanding each other in the middle.”
