New Delhi: The central government has extended the term of office of Venugopal KK as an Indian Attorney General with one more year.
He will remain in his post until June 30, 2022.
In 2020, his tenure had been extended a year.
Venugopal ownership now ends in the next few days.
The formal command of the split extension will soon be issued, they said.
Venugopal is 89 years old.
Appointed as AG on July 1, 2017 for a three-year tenure, he took over as an Indian Attorney General India after the former AG hit Rohatgi resigned for personal reasons.
