Liverpool manager Juergen Klopp has criticized club fans for homophobic songs aimed at Billy Gilmour Billy Norwich last week, saying that such songs are “waste of time” and that he did not want to listen to them again.
Some Liverpool fans heard using homophobics against the 20-year-old Chelsea midfielder Gilmour at Carrow Road on Saturday, with harassment then called on Twitter by Kop Out, LGBT + Liverpool fan group.
In an interview with the founder of Paul Amann’s Outs Kop on Thursday, Klopp said he did not understand the idea behind the songs.
“Why will you sing songs that oppose something at the football stadium.
I never understood.
I never liked it and I didn’t like this.
Especially in our case, we might have the best song book in the world,” Klopp said.
Germany added: “This is not our song again.
I’m not sure if people listen to me but it will be fun.
I don’t want to hear it again because of many reasons.
Obviously we live in the time where we are learning a lot at this time.” Liverpool , which beat Norwich 3-0, host Burnley on Saturday.
