Finished / Alvi Times News Network Kanpur: Kanpur Municipal Corporation (KMC) and Metro Rail Corporation shakes hands after the war of attraction over construction and demolition on Tuesday and decided to sit on Tuesday for better coordination.
However, the KMC has requested Rs more than 106 Crore as compensation to use the land and destroy the structure.
At the meeting, the two departments discussed the development and demolition of a structure raised between the quarter of the Jalkal and Bungalow of an additional city commissioner in Benajhabar.
Mayor Pramila Pandey stated that the permanent room raised by Metro Corporation was without the foundation and they could come down in strong winds.
In addition, the construction was illegal because the metro builds them 15 feet outside the boundary wall.
Ajay Anand Verma, HR METRO RAIL Corporation admitted that there were several errors in improving the structure.
The city commissioner after that complained that the metro did not share anything with the city corporation.
“KMC has no knowledge of the metro phase 1, 2 and 3 plan and there is no communication about it.
Metro Rail Corporation must hold a coordination meeting at least once a month”, said the city commissioner.
The Mayor after that raised the issue of compensation and said Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation had paid compensation for Nagam Nagar land which was acquired by Rail Corporation, but in Kanpur it has not been paid to Verma to conduct a survey with KMC officials to identify land and provide compensation.
He said in Lucknow, compensation was given at the DM circle level and was given to those whose land had been used in the construction of pillars.
The Mayor said that there was a proposal to build an underground at Brijendra Swaroop Park but now the Corporation Rail was raising a pillar.
“Metro will compensate for the pillar but the entire park has been destroyed”, he said.
The city commissioner directed its officials to assess the damage to KMC, Park, Smart City Street Lights, temporary use of land and prepared detailed reports.
KMC officials then present a list of land obtained by Metro Rail Corporation and claim compensation.
